Bumblebee Costume Pattern

A beautiful sewing pattern to keep you busy as a sewing bee!

This fun and dimensional bee costume features a shaped and sculptured body, embroidered wings and cute glittery antennae.  We have remade Dolly's legs in black cotton for an authentic variation.

The body is made with darts, appliqued stripes and bias bound neck and arm holes.  A dropped elasticated waistline acts as a bottom hem.

Felt wings can be embroidered on your machine in any way you like for full creativity.  A centre layer of fusible buckram gives them rigidity.

This pattern is rated 'easy' and includes darts, waistband casing, bias binding and simple applique.
